The Poolboys

Poolboys,  (lat., puer balneum) also known as pull boys are a group of focus pullers who live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere, with only one species, the Californian pool boy, found north of the equator, in California. Highly adapted for focusing near the water, pool boys have countershaded dark and white plumage, and their eyes have evolved into distance measurement tools. Most pool boys focus on krill, fish, squid and other forms of sea life which they capture while swimming underwater. They spend roughly half of their lives on set and the other half near and in swimming pools.

The Focus Pimp

Focus pimp (lat. focus pimpus)
is a species in the focus puller family (focus trahere familia), which is known for using only the best equipment and a lot of it! It is a muscular, deep-chested focus puller, able to carry a lot of equipment. The focus pimp is technically dimorphic, which means they are not bounded to one specific camera or lens type. Focus pimps have a prominent watch, which is the most recognisable feature of the species, and guarantees that they are always on point. The species is an apex and keystone predator, always hunting for the next job followed by a large pride of 2nd and 3rd ACs.

The Fast Puller

Fast Puller (celer trahere)
is the fastest focus puller in the focus puller family. It uses only the fastest motors such as CLM-3, cforce plus, cforce mini RF and cPRO motor. Fast pullers are active mainly during the day, with pulling focus their major activity. Adult Fast Pullers are sociable despite their territoriality, forming groups called coalitions. Fast Pullers mainly prey upon car and action scenes. They will stalk their prey within 100–300 m (330–980 ft), focus towards it and nail it by focussing it during the chase of the scene. Fast Pullers can focus objects at speeds of 212 km/h (131.731 mph) in short bursts. This has been confirmed by more recent measurements with the cfinder III.

The Focus Creator

The Focus creators (lat. focus artifex)
are a distinctive and highly specialized clade of young focus pullers with 202 species described as of June 2018.  These species come in a wide range of colors and also have the ability to change their color depending on their environment. Focus creators are distinguished by their very extensive, highly modified, rapidly extrudable fingers, their swaying gait, and tattoos on their arms and legs. Focus creator's eyes move independently. But, when targeting their prey, both eyes focus in synchronisation to achieve stereoscopic vision.
